Background
Institute of Management Science and
Technology, IMSAT, is a private tertiary
Institute located in
Mbale – Eastern Uganda.
It is a multidisciplinary training
institute established in 1996, offering
various courses at both Certificate
and Diploma levels for O’level
and A’level leavers respectively.
The Institute operates on a semester
system and each semester lasts for
4 months.
Students are admitted three times
a year, in January, April and August.

and not Sought”.
A student may opt to register for
Internal Examinations (IMSAT Award)
or External Examinations (UNEB)
Both awards are recognized by the
ministry of Education and Sports,
National Council for Higher Education
and the Public Service Commission.
Academic
Staff
IMSAT has highly qualified and experienced
staff in their field and numerous
associates from the neighbouring
Institutions. This renders IMSAT
the dynamism and flexibility to
clients’ needs.
Resources
IMSAT has a full fledged computer
laboratory with state of the art
equipment and a well stocked and
growing reference library with a
large reading hall.
IMSAT is also a beneficially of
the British council through the
a kili project. Through this project,
IMSAT is able to access a variety
of reading materials, CD/DVD and
electronic articles.

I) Design tailor made programmes, including
Training of Trainers (TOT)
II) Conduct market research, social
surveys and Baseline surveys
III) Provide Business Development Services
(BOS)
IV) Repair and maintain your computers,
their accessories and other office Equipment
(Soft ware/Hard ware) including supply
of genuine office consumables
